지구세계연구소(Planetary Institute for Global Studies, PIGS)는

'행성적 전회'(Planetary Turn)에 헌신하는 독립 연구기관입니다.

인류세를 단순한 지질학적 시대로 다루는 대신,

본 연구소는 그것을 자연사와 인류사, 열대학,

그리고 국제협력을 잇는 문명사적 조건으로 탐구합니다.

그 목표는 화석연료 문명을 넘어선 인류의 미래를 전망할 수 있는

새로운 행성적 사유를 함양, 연대, 실천하는 데 있습니다.

The Planetary Institute for Global Studies (PIGS) is

an independent research institute dedicated to the Planetary Turn.

Rather than treating the Anthropocene merely as a geological epoch,

the Institute investigates it as a civilizational condition

linking natural history, human history, tropical studies, and global cooperation.

Its goal is to cultivate, unite, and put into practice

a new planetary way of vision of capable of rethinking

humanity's future beyond fossil-fuel civilization.
